The vacuum blower exhausts the hot gas. Blower is I presume from a VW Beetle. John powered the blower with an auxilary motor, though it could have used the gener

Ken Helmick and I are creating, and gathering material for people new to steam. A materials resource section would be of benefit to all.
At this time we haven't decided whether these will be stand alone pages or a Forum for this material. As a forum, the material wouldn't get in the way of other posts, and users can contribute more easily. This would probably be a moderated forum, with posts n

Bill,
McMaster Carr offers compression packing seals in about 15 different variations. I note they dropped the chart they used to have showing which were good for reciprocating motion, rotary, or both. Size starts at 1/8" square and goes to 3/4", lengths 5', 10', 25'.

The pipe is used for venting un-condensed steam. The intent is to run semi-condensing. Tests have shown that fully condensing heats the water tank too quickly.

I am getting a really tired of this.
Why is it, whenever a new participant shows up on the forum, they get beat up?
(Begin ritual)
First y'all say: "Show us the hardware".
If they show up with hardware, you ask how many hours has it run?
Someone can be counted on to throw the fraud word around.
The next step is to disect their equipment, finding real or imaginary faults, and

At the present time we don't know if we are dealing with a primary frequency or a harmonic (multiple of primary frequency). Example of this is blow a mouth whistle gently (no ball), then blow hard and get a different higher frequency, poorly defined.
Variables known to affect the howling of burners, but not all inclusive.
Things are further complicated by the burner grate style.
