Hi Chris,
Photos need to be about a 1 megabyte maximum. Most cameras these days take potos 2mb or larger.
There are apps for phones that allow you to resize photos.
For Windows, look for "RIOT" (Radical Image Optimization Tool)

Transmissivity of pyrex and quartz are around 90% when clean. Defeats the purpose of the 99.9% black paint.
The paint is held to the substrate with resin that will degrade over time, turning gray. More loss.

Does anyone have a solution to this conundrum?
Take the data plate from the truck, and apply it to a Toyota Corolla LE with a 4 on the floor.
28-30 mpg around town, 40+ mpg hwy. The money saved on fuel for the truck makes the payments on the sedan.
I had a 98 Ram 2500 4x4, the best I ever got was 17 mpg with a 30 mile an hour tailwind.
