Wanted: White Steam Car, 1907 - 1910, with a Flowmotor. I am writing a White Steam Car Book, and having owned seven Stanleys (two left), it would be immensely helpful to own a White. I'd even consider borrowing one or renting one, although I have no idea what that means. Very best wishes! Don Hokeby Don Hoke - SteamStuff

Good Afternoon, Steam Car Afictionados! I am finishing a booklet about a lady sitting in a Locomobile in front of a Syracuse, NY fountain in 1900. See attached. The biography of New Zealand steam car engineer, Hector Halhead "Steam" Stewart is now in print and availabe on the Vintage Steam Products web page. Stewart was born in the New Zealand bush, built his first steam car from a burned up Locomobile, and made a lot of money in Featherston during World War I. Good Evening Steam Enthusiasts! The fuel pressure tank on The BettyAnne, our 1925 Stanley SV252G, is showing its age. It held pressure for a while, but has sprung a leak. The leak is now repaired with silver solder and a drain plug, but I suspect this is not a permanent repair. 1. Who has a Stanley Model 740 or 750 fuel pressure tank for sale? 2. Good Afternoon, Steam Car Aficionados! Here is a bit of information from the Stewart Archive on the Steam Appliance Corporation and the Rotobaker Steam Generator. This is an early photocopy and I am trying to learn when photocopying started. As nearly as I can learn, it started in 1938. So this photo copy of a 1927 issue of Railway Age must date into the 1940s at the earliest. Yes, itby Don Hoke - SteamStuff

Good Evening, Chris! The R Bell you reference is probably Rodney Bell. He was an apprentice in A & G Price's shop in 1930 - 1933 during the Doble Steam Bus experiments in New Zealand. H. H. Stewart (1888 - 1950), who came to Detroit to see Doble's steam bus experiments with the Detroit Motorbus Company in the 1920s, was the NZ steam car engineer who brought Doble to New Zealand.
