JIm I don't blame you on the malware/adware concern....I can run my main computer for months without problems. The other 3 computers can't go a week without problems(mostly bundled trash) bad enough that you are working full time to recover the computer back from the various programs.Telling them about proper security precaution falls on deaf ears. I won't able to make the meet this year,but for future reference was wondering if CDL vehicles(class A RV's and shop/car toter trucks like you see with many race teams ). Would I have a place to park at either of the locations. I hope to have something to show in 2018 ,needing both to do it .And a whole pack of reviewers and inspectors to run these thing thru the to mill,that I am hoping to beby Arnold Walker - SteamStuff

What I saw was 4.5 " scale model on Preston Steam products back in Britain.... They a named who designed it, but it went in one ear and out the out on memory. Me I has been kicking around among noumerous unfullfilled dreams converting a 14hp. I saw an amish horse implement company that builds a three point hitch powercarts that go from grounddrive to 90hp implement.Originally saw them about 20 years ago and forgot them.Check last night and they still around...quess the horse farmers are still alive and well.Apparently some steam tractor guys figured out how install a hydraudilic "pto pump" that would drive the a hydraulic moby Arnold Walker - SteamStuff

That modern steam tractor idea is amazing.....They actually have Massey Ferguson steam tractor from South Africa(during the 50's several African countries were trying do make steam tractors that were competitive with modern gas tractors in 30 to 40hp range.)As usual Preston steam Products is charging about 2 to 3 times .What this club would have listed it for in the steam club classified. Could not help but be a fly on the wall with your project,thinking that inspite of intent ....there might be another use for you idea. Regulator valve for low pressure engines running high pressure boilers than don't cost over $1000.00...an overboost shutoff valve for my turbines is one of the reasons.Was looking at piston engines "regulating" my pressure on turbocompound set,more so tby Arnold Walker - SteamStuff

Well,while ya are arguing over streamliners...I bought two ready made "frames" for my purposes with lamont steam turbine bike project.And could care less if Bonneville knew how fast I drove my steamers, as long as the steamers knew about it.At new three wheel motorcycle built in Shevesport.With gas engine it does 5hp/55ftlbs.....with the same size turbine 300ftlbs torque and tops out atby Arnold Walker - SteamStuff

Looks like what you said Jeremy and he could go either Rankine or Brayton as well....with the right compressor(eats about half the Wankel hp. re-compressing if he did). Rolly,your first paper nailed what chicken plant was doing with the ammonium refrigeration and process steam auxiliaries. And you may be on the right track with remarks as well...Pilgrims used engersol Rand screw expanders for over 50years in the 500,000 cubic ft. refrigerator.by Arnold Walker - SteamStuff

You also see many places like David doing something on that order with process steam on the auxiliaries....The PiIlgrims chicken plants did that on on their boilers before releasing it into the air.Many times on a cool day sitting in the parking lot. You watched it leave the exhaust pipe and rain in the shopping center parking lot 50yards downwind..(to give a idea of saturation level ).by Arnold Walker - SteamStuff

That oil pressure stuff sounds like a Woodward analog steam governor before they went electronic....they worked really well both for variable speed control and fixed speed control like on an electric generator.And like most things commercial steam bigger and more expensive then a hobby steamer would use.by Arnold Walker - SteamStuff

Ironically,Amishman was trying to get one of those nuke.Laser heating deuterium in a fusion reactor,done that in a hobby fuser but like the UN scientists ,never got a energy balance ...their case after 50years and trillions spent and still trying..... Celeb,maybe the aluminum drawing heat away might the way he is getting away with as small of a condenser as he is... At the same time,I am puzzled on pressure drop whether you are using a steam chest or a jet there is will be a pressure drop.Other wise it wouldn't be a steam expander...usually in order to have flow at all, the pressure differential would have to be markedly higher. Caleb,I am puzzled on your remark about anodized aluminum and somewhat caught between you and George on what makes sense on an aluminum cylinder.If your are build a lawnmower or airplane engine with an aluminum cylinder.It is nitrated(use tool grade ceramic),not anodized.for the reason you gave for anodized having the same expansion rate. Imagine that if cyclone had thought of it, they could have powder coated the aluminum cylinders in high temperature Ceramic powder.To insulate some of that heat you have been talking about going out the cylinder walls.(1950 F. in the cylinder would infra red temp. about 150-200F. on outside of cylinder.)And ceramic makes fairly tough coating ...Bar B que pit has been banged about badly and still nby Arnold Walker - SteamStuff

Andy,you tried to copy Jay Leno by using Hi temp. (1950 F). powder coating on that screen..Jay had a Doble combustion chamber that died.And needed to build new to replace it.Did part in stainless then coated on inside to"firebrick" the stainless.Actually did a Leno garage show on the rebuilding of the Doble combustion chamber to do better than the original after it scorched.It is the samby Arnold Walker - SteamStuff

They had better coverage of the spec. and details than the Americans did.... The drive is not that far off from Linsmeyer who holds the gas turbine record The Alison 250 clock as fast 254mph...Bruce also owns Avon Aero as a partner. The 4 wheel drive is a nice touch as well like the stp #60 that ran in Indy(the aircraft mechanic that owns it now has dropped in a 318hp Allison 250 while restorinby Arnold Walker - SteamStuff

For whatever it is worth on the jet burn can....the fuel is supplied to a non drip atomizer nozzle at 350+ psi have seen that pressure go upwards of double that on some engines.So that you got that white mist that you showed in the video on your burner.Then the ignitior would fire before you went into a hot start from too rich in the combustion chamber.The J tubes in the early days of aviation didby Arnold Walker - SteamStuff

Caleb,you need to understand I made a living servicing gas turbines.... So you put most of your work in what you seen work on the big plants trying to repeat it in impossible(accord to many ) in micro turbine plants.The recirculation is what you seem with many gas turbines like the old Chysler gas turbine car. At this time for 30 psi pressure, model jet jocks can pickup ready made model turbines for less than Beckman will sale a piston engine of that horsepower.Now if the turbine guy is in the same vain as guys like Chuck they can get or built a piston from 2cycle engine or in the case of a turbine freak...junk turbochargers.Doing the same kinds of rework to make that steamengine...be it piston or turbiby Arnold Walker - SteamStuff

If you think about it what I is am talking is DIYer's getting into what old timers called bottoming cycle.While trying to stay with water as much as possible without going to ammonium,etc.As stated it is easier said than done...but there where some in light plants and now geothermo that did do just that.(Kalina ,adams nuke engine,the grumman nuke drone using helium instead of water,etc. comes toby Arnold Walker - SteamStuff

Caleb,try doing everything you are doing in the piston...then exhaust that to the turbine that is going to a vacuum at the inlet to compressor of that recirculating turbine.I think you see a little more total expansion than.Just looking at the piston.by Arnold Walker - SteamStuff

I cut myself off a little early ....engineering game you are working on for proper efficiency is getting 1000 to 1 total expansion with a combination of the piston and the glorified turbocharger.Which is easier said than done for most DIYer's. I agree with much of what is said on piston engine at least,but then in time one will also notice that many high efficient piston engines had a low pressure turbine in the mix as well.And that they could be awfully small even when running ...many times the gearbox was bigger than the engine.I have to admit I don't have the last words on turbine compounding but on 20-30 psi(diy turbocharger to steaby Arnold Walker - SteamStuff

To some degree I can see what you are talking about at Bryan boilers...about all that is left of thier past is George Bryan standing beside his tractor in a photo , thier flexible water tube design and with no mention of the car.Darn near went blind trying to find anything that they could have used in either the tractor or the car.In catalog....
