I remember a discussion earlier in which the question was "why are there so many steam patents, but few products." The conclusion was that patenting steam is of little value: spend the money making things.
This is not a steam project. The value is considerable (in my opinion -- at this time): like the water bottle and the backpack. It has far reaching potential and is easily copied especially by those in the business. At this time they are not interested in making it as it would save the customer money ($50,000.00 plus). However, once someone makes it, they will want the profit for themselves.
I made a test piece for $40.00 it works better then expected. I am now looking at making a mockup of the next part. Then will build and test that combination. The rest is mounting frame, hydraulics and control mechanism. Simple. Total project: estimated less then $2000.00 for proto.
The idea is not mine; I am simply drawing it up and making the pieces. It needs protected.
