Chicagoland Mini Meet

The 2022 Chicagoland Mini-Meet will be held at Tom Kimmel's steam shop on May 14 and 15. Looking forward to seeing whoever can show up!

I plan on going and hope to see a great crowd. I'm recovering from a torn rotatorcuff injury, left shoulder. I'll bring my computer and will have some history available. I won't be bringing any items, just my spirit and encouragement.

The mini-meet came and went ... everyone seemed to have a good time. A few new people arrived, which is always encouraging. We ran a large oscillating engine connected to a generator, which could not provide enough juice to light a small bulb -- this had to be about the worst powerplant efficiency yet seen! It was loads of fun, however. Jason Alford and I stayed over Monday and spent part of the day returning Tom Kimmel's steam tractor back to operation; well, Jason did most of the dirty work.

Hope to see folks at the same place this fall!
