Lane Steam Cars

Does anybody have any idea how many Lane Steam Cars still exist? I know there is one in England. Was wondering if any others were floating around. I know they made them in 20HP and 30HP models and were condenser cars. Any other interesting details would be appreciated.

thanks,

A.J.

Arthur Eldredge SACA-NE
Had a Lane Steam car for years, he got rear ended several years ago.
Mark Herman wound up with the car and was restoring it.
I’m not sure where it is today.

There is a Lane steam car for sale in Europe.

Can anyone explain the boiler to me? It is a fire tube but I have seen references to flash characteristics and am wondering if it is some kind of hybrid?

Attached is the patent for the Lane combined firetube and water tube boiler. The Lane brothers took out a number of patents on their steam cars.
