Second generation Curtis vertical turbine

Some time in the 1990 I computerized the L Street Boston Edison Power Plant in South Boston Mass
In the bowels of the lowest part of the plant was this large room with the Second generation Curtis vertical turbine and all the support equipment. It looked like it could be started up and put on line.
I wrote and article about this unit and it was published in Live Steam Magazine
Hear are a few of the photos.

Today I learned the L Street power plant was decommissioned and is being converted to public space and commercial space.
Hear are a few more photos. I have not found out if any of this equipment was saved.
