REAL V4 Steam Engine

This is very cool custom steam engine, I pulled it out of a Corvair Greenbrier created by Charles Reynolds in the 60's, it's heavy. I have everything that was hooked up to the engine, I'm going to try and run it on my air compressor, not sure if I have enough air. I'm going to be listing it on EBAY for $2500 any thoughts on the price??? Located in Medford Oregon.

It looks like a nice homebuilt engine.

I wouldn't dare guess on a suggested price because it's a homebuilt. When dealing with production engines that were built in some number you can look at previous sales and take into account rarity and condition. When it's a one-off, there is no firm precedent.

I don't think your $2,500 sounds too far off. If you want to sell via E-bay, I'd suggest setting a reserve for the lowest amount you'd be willing to accept and then putting it up for auction. If no one bids above the reserve price, you can either try again with a lower reserve or try to market through other venues. One possibility would be the For Sale ads in the SACA Bulletin.
