I always wished I could find this one, it was about 3 years before Evinrude built his first outboard motor.

Condenser used as rudder!
He hasn't paid much attention to the burner but it would be a fun project to build and fit to an old style wooden rowing boat.

The condenser on the above outboard is wrapped around a standard Seagull outboard lower unit.

Hi Mike,

Yeah, I'd love to build it. I also get a kick out of the connecting rod driving the screw directly instead of via bevel gears, just a bit outrageous. The Yuba outboard did the same thing, but they installed the engine directly to the prop and encapsulated it beneath the water line. That's probably more practical but doesn't have the same artistic flair.

I have a perfect donor engine for this application. Its 2 cycle and could be used with Teflon oil. I will give it away is some wants it...
