Does Saca still sell the bronze casting of the 1906 stanley engine as seen on ebay? And what year did Stanley first produce for the model K a 4.5''x 6.5 engine? Was the engine that was in the Stanley Rocket made in 1906 And ran in 1907?

The Rocket first ran in Jan 1906.
So the engine had to be first developed in early 1905.
The K had a dog latch for the hook. No hoop up. The early engine on the rocket had only an arm to move from forward to reverse. The engine in the Rocket in 1906 had the cylinder block upside down, meaning the valve cover was on the top of the engine. The K was on the bottom as are all Stanley engines.

The cylinder block, at least, in the Rocket at the time of the crash, was from one of the Vanderbilt cars. It was probably made in mid-1906, since that's when those cars were built.

The complete engine from the Vanderbilt except the bottom end gear was in the car at the time of the crash in January 1907. In the photos of the crash the engine is upside down to get the steam line connected to the valve cover. The reversing arm is down toward the ground.
The cylinder block and the frame was from the Vanderbilt.

In answer to the other part of your question, as of the last time I checked, last spring, the club still has some of those brass medallions in stock.

Was the Stanley Model K car with the 4.5''x 6.5'' engine made when they built the rocket engine, which is in the Smithsonian ?
