Stanley company advertising
January 22, 2013 07:56PM
To quote from Kit Foster's book The Stanley Steamer, America's Legendary Steam Car, "Overt print advertising campaigns in the national motoring press finally began as the twins disengaged from the business, but did not wait until their actual retirement." The first Stanley Motor Carriage Co. advertisement appears to have been placed in Motor World, Oct. 11, 1916. Here are some of the SMCC ads through the remaining years of the company.

This is great! This proves not to say never. I searched high and low and the only one that I found was the two page that I arranged to show the two pages together. If I may, I would like to add two of them in my book Automobiles Made in Massachusetts". I am having some more printed this week and I can add or delete material in it, the 1916 ad and the 1918 Stored Power ad. Go to my web site www.earlyamericanautomobiles.com and you can email me your name and address and I will send you a free copy.. Thanks
